Sliding through the Woods

more than a promise of spring

in her wee terrarium

all winter long

with love and protection

even though it is like this:

I did find one mushroom growng the other day

Sentries

they stood true
her sentries
among the wild weaving weedy seeds
 her protectors
fungi who are from the underworld
and the heavens

snow has arrived

days are cold

nights even colder

pretty sure this snow is here for the season

so pretty under the light of the big moon

 at night

Earth Lady

 

a little lady for 

29 Faces

 our big storm seems to have past

I think i got around 30 inches of snow

the clouds parted and sunlight and blue sky were here today

so beautiful with the fresh snow

~

Green Feather

this little guy is so happy with his

green feather

we are in the midst of a big snow storm

I think we have gotten 26 inches

in the past 2.5 days

one more day to go

that means the world is beautiful

and 
lots of plowing and shoveling snow

and

a crazy amount of snow on my roof!

Lovely Equinox to one and All ~

inspired this watercolor

in honor of Spring

on this first day of spring

half way between the shortest day of the year

and the longest day of the year

i woke to fresh snow!

(yes this is home sweet home)

one of my favorite spring

and summer 

breakfasts:

Fairy Food

1 serving:

1 cup homemade almond milk
honey or agave to taste
1T + 1t chia seeds
1T. dried fruit - cherries or whatever you like
1T. dry coconut
sprinkle of spice, your choice: cinnamon, ginger, cardamon, vanilla

place in jar with lid and shake

a few minutes later shake well again

place in refrigerator over night

ready to enjoy in the morning

(if you don't shake it well, you will get lumps of gooey chia

seeds. Fairies would never eat that!)

D.C. Tattoo

years and years ago

in a night's dream

someone said: let me touch up your tattoo

i said: what tattoo?

she pointed to my torso

i lifted my top to find flowers and leaves

much like the painting above

but 

they were alive and moving as well!

I loved it

funny thing is, that i have never wanted a tattoo

perhaps all my freckles 

are enough body art for me
