AC: Earth Day

Love love love

our Planet

Earth

We really do have pretty rocks here in Montana

I found a surprise turquoise colored rock in the forest last weekend

I am told it is copper that makes the pretty color:

This past winter saw the end of my bridge, it broke. 

Today I built a new one.

Such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment!

Now I can walk from the earth on one side of the creek 

to the earth other side, yay! 

Last week I drove an hour north

seeking wildflowers. 

I was delighted to find the lovely Pasque flower and our native bumble bee!

So much love for our planet and all it's wonderful treasures!

AC: ritual and routines

a heartfelt routine

I enjoy my routines and rituals. 

Something easy/graceful about falling into rountines. 

Sometimes I move a waste basket to another spot, it takes days to 

fall into the habit of the new spot, often tossing trash in the wrong place. 

So I also like changing routines, simply to be more present. 

I thought this painting would be about the waste basket

but 

the drawing had a different idea. 

Love when that happens.

AC: Pillow

over the years I have made a few of these sweet little heart pillows

they are lovely on a Christmas tree

or hanging in a window

could be sweet for the upcoming holiday

a bit of silk ribbon embroidery

a bit of bead work  

maybe the next one will be a different shape

when our dear Stephanie

chose pillow for our inspiration

well does the above ever happen to you?

AC: Sticks

One day a friend picked up two sticks

and 

began to balance one on top of the other

it was fun to watch

a bit like juggling

simple pleasures are so good

Art Challenge: Winter Salon

deep in a California forest

land of moss and rain

there was a winter party going on

the fungi gathered 

to dance and chatter

one of them said: can you imagine living in a Montana forest

earth frozen and cloaked in snow

we could not fruit until spring

all the more reason to gather and celebrate life

Art Challenge

every day she listens to the birds

wind in the trees

fungi rising through the earth

watched the flowers  sway

for they are her teachers

they fill her mind with wisdom

and

heart with joy

this summer cousin Laura visited
we walked my woods and found interesting mushrooms
 

so here I am studying them
most my days are filled with some sort of schooling in nature
it brings me vitality

i wish all schooling would bring vitality to it's students!
