Sentries

they stood true
her sentries
among the wild weaving weedy seeds
 her protectors
fungi who are from the underworld
and the heavens
~

snow has arrived
days are cold
nights even colder
pretty sure this snow is here for the season
so pretty under the light of the big moon
 at night

  1. How lovely to see your excellent drawing painted with colour. It has a lovely symmetry to it.
You make the most beautiful jackets. I like her fingerless gloves too.
Your home area is just amazing, and interesting to see it with the Spring version on the right. What a different way of life from here. I'm sure it can be hard but also looks idyllic.

    1. Hi Sheila,
Thank you for enjoying the painting. I was not sure about the red of the fungi with all the other colors….
I wish I had a jacket like this and it is glove season here, hat too.

I do love living here. Wild, often quiet, beautiful and touched with magic in the mundane. You are right there is some work to it. But maybe no more than other homes. Except a chainsaw is required at times.

It is snowing at the moment and so pretty.

    1. Yes, I do enjoy the snow. Even the the spirit of hibernation that comes along with cloudy days.
But today the sun is out and this mornings walk/wandering was enlivening.
