AC: Sticks


One day a friend picked up two sticks
and 
began to balance one on top of the other

it was fun to watch
a bit like juggling
simple pleasures are so good

  3. He is a gorgeous soul! how I love this piece..I thought he was dowsing at first...maybe he is !!Beautifully done..love the colors too..the shading is always fantastic! I would have loved this challenge, wish i had seen it earlier!! Love his hat and those stitches down his beautiful blue jacket... awesome!

  6. that story actually reminds me of a toy someone one's showed me that did exactly that. it was designed to do so, but it was totally the same concept! i think your friend musta shown them! ;))) thxs for hosting, tammie. x

  7. Like Nadine, I remember a toy that was basically the same idea. I really like your painting; at first I thought he was dowsing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dowsing, which is looking for water underground by feeling the pull of a stick, usually willow. Thanks for inviting me to the party! xo

      i tried that with brass wire once, it was fun and seemed to work.

    I've recognized his beard! Beautiful drawing! As a child I tried to balance a stick on a stick... I have to try it now :-)
