his heart told him
to wait

trust
that soon the rabbit
would nibble the carrot

they would be fast friends

The theme you have painted beautifully with the hare and he will soon come and carnate the carrot the temptation is much too big and so with the vetleben because he has so patiently waited!

    1. Hello Elke,
Yes, I think the lad is hoping the temptation is too big ;-)
      Thank you.

  3. I love how simple your words are here and the piece is totally charming. A wonderful addition to the scribble picnic theme this week. Tammie! Thank you so much. Well done! I can totally see this in a children's book or something.

    1. Thank you Michael. I do attempt to express something with few words, a personal challenge (in life not so much ;-) ). I do it also because I sense these days that people don't have time to read 1, 2 or more paragraphs. Life is so busy for many people.

  4. This is such a beautiful and telling Easter-Story! Full of wisdom and and full of little telling and teaching details. For adults and for children! This drawing teaches a lot! The snail is able not to press the flowers to earth! Amazing! The flower-arch gives shelter over the scene, though it is really spring-ly young and soft!

    1. hello Dori,

Sometimes you sense more about my art than I can bring to mind. It is more about feeling for me. Sometimes it takes days for me to interpret what each piece means to me. I love seeing through your eyes and heart. Thank you so much!

  5. Another delightful painting! I believe the bird and the snail (on that surprisingly strong vine) are also curious and waiting patiently for the outcome of this encounter.

  6. Ah, perfection. This drawing reminds me of two things. The first is Tippi, the dog next door, who will have nothing to do with me. I mean nothing. Yet, I keep waiting. And for that matter, Lizzie -- it was a patience time with her, too, that has more than paid off.

But it also reminds me a bit of Easter, of spring. I don't know if that was your intent or if that is just my interpretation but it is lovely.

  7. this is beautiful, I like how the turtle crawling there like he weights nothing, the rabbit is cute. would have like to see a larger view of this, love the flowers and how they form a shape over everything.

    have a lovely day.

  8. What can I say other than this is just gorgeous Tammie. Love the addition of the birdie on the toadstool, and the snail on the vine.
Your bunny has a really cute expression - I think he's a big tease!!!

Did the rabbit ever take the carrot?

  12. This is so beautiful, the curve of the blue flowers, the watching snail (such a very pretty snail), the bird who is a little cautious I think and the friendly rabbit. Everything here is in its perfect place. Yes, trust your heart.
