Loving King

The king is thin due to sharing his food with the village people
His clothing worn and shoes with holes because they were not important or on his mind
He carried water from the well for those with thirst
He is a loving king that puts his people first, in every thought and every deed
Not only is this his duty, but also the beckoning of his heart
The task of a loving king is to be the best father possible

To care for all his people
~

I have often wished that leaders of any kind put their people first, like the best father a person could dream of. I debated it being a queen or king an queen. But the first image that came to me was a king, so I went with it.

There may be more on this theme to come.

  2. This is one of my beloved paintings from wonderful artist-friend Tammie! What a miracle! I know this king! He lives in the hearts of all these "Saints in rags". I will try to find my "Saint in rags" - a small drawing in my spiritual Bible. This really is the holy young boy, who is born near solstice - its the solstice of the whole world, but the world does not understand - just some hearts do - -

I really love the text, too.

    1. Dear Dori,
Of course you know this king. You are of his family, his kin. You walk in this world much as he does, being of service with a king and wise heart.
Thank you for your loving and supportive message.

    2. When I saw your young king, I saw at once, that it is the great LOVE, a LOVE, who only wants to love and do good things for the creatures, animals, plants, human beings. He is a hero, and also he lives in women's fine hearts. You show a miracle in your drawing and text! Nobody really can understand this kind of unselfish love, but everyone has the desire for this kind of LOVE - -

Have a good, very good night, dear artistfriend in the forest!

  4. There is much love in your picture for this king in the guise of humanity. He walks through his land with kindness and care. He spreads security and love between people. He puts himself on a level to protect the care for all beings and nature. He has already conquered the hearts of love, namely mine...
    Hugs Elke

  7. My sister Gelia recognized my shepherd xaver from the ranch in the Forest.

    Here my answer in German:

Manche und noch mehr meckern oder reden schlau daher und sagen: mei wie der (Xaver) wieder dahergekommen ist, und vergessen, dass er jedem hilft, der ihn um Hilfe fragt.

Übrigens gibt es bei den Russischen Heiligen eine ganze "Sparte" von "Heiligen in Lumpen", das war eine Lebenshaltung. - -

    1. I had to translate:
"Some and even more complain or talk cunningly and say: Mei how the (Xaver) came back and forget that he helps everyone who asks him for help.

Incidentally, there is a whole "section" of "saints in rags" among Russian saints, that was a way of life. - -"

So nice that you all have him.

  8. I'm looking and looking at your really beautiful painting and thinking about the words.
I'd like to make pretty patches for his clothing.
Interesting that he wears a crown.
I think this would make a fascinating illustrated story book.

    1. Hello Sheila,

      Lovely to hear from you.
Thank you for taking this piece to heart.

In my vision he is wearing a crown so that we, the viewer know he is king.
The next bit of the story, he sells his crown to use the money for his people.
The people are so touched, (much as you want to make pretty patches for his clothing) and make him a wooden crown to replace this silver crown.

For me the crown is also symbolic of our crown chakra in our head. The energy center that assists us in connecting to the divine.
A person such as this who devotes his life to caring for life is certainly in touch with the divine aspect of life.

Thank you so much for your thoughts on this.
