Bakasana

yoga with his woodland friend

we have a family of fox in our area
I rarely see them
though one night i looked out my window
just in time to see one on my steps
under the full moon light

with grace
it flew down my steps
then my snow path
across my frozen pond
disappearing into the forest

all illumined by the full moon

I like letting my world influence my art

  2. Love the art ♥ We have fox here but rarely see them either. I do hear them at night sometimes when I take the dogs out for their late night business or the early early morning business.

    1. I am always amazed at the photos some people get of fox. I think they are mostly active at night and I mostly see their tracks in the snow.

  7. It always feels like an omen of good luck when I see a fox. Your drawing is lovely, and it makes me think of trying to do yoga when my dog is around to "help".

Maybe you will do a yoga piece with your dog?

  8. Your narrative sounds like the beginnings of a book ... a lovely book, because fox families are wonderful to behold ... beautiful, graceful and shy. I am enjoying your art for the first time and find it quite pleasing. I look forward to more about your fox in the future :)

  13. I love the yoga mat having an earth scene. This is another very serene painting. The fox is almost giving a blessing. A happy and peaceful 2017 to you.

I think this is the 3rd or 4th yoga mat i have done similar to this. I find it fun and would be lovely in real life.

  17. That's when the best art is made, to be inspired and it shows! It's a lovely drawing Tammie, please don't tell me that you can do that pose! I used to be able to do that easily when I was young without a moment's thought, a lifetime ago! ;)
