  3. I like the second one best, it reminded me of a Waldorf painting. Soft and dreaming and full of magical spirit.

  5. So lovely! I like the top one best because the distinct outlines and highlights contribute a certain liveliness and engage the viewer more directly. I like the bottom one best because its softness evokes a dreaminess that slowly draws in the viewer.

    1. i love that you used 'best' for both of them
and thanks for sharing why. I agree and like them both, that is why i asked. It is wonderful to consider each through my friends eyes and hearts.

      thank you everyone!

  7. The top one is brighter, but the bottom is a better illustration of watercolor technique. Both are very nice. ;)

  8. Oh, Tammie ~ What a fanciful world you've created! I love both versions, though the top one pops more, visually, that is. But both are wonderful.

  9. Quelle fraîcheur et quelle poésie dans tes illustration. Elles touchent l'âme. Elles font du bien.
    Belle soirée en amitié.

  10. I'm terrible at making choices... ha ha. They each have their pleasing personality:)
Last month the resident pair of crows started building their nest. I love watching them fly hither and thither.

  11. Magical, Tammie -- like a wonderful children's book illustration!

  12. This is really great. Love the houses on stilts with the high connecting walk-way and the path to the woods and the colourful pebbles at the front, just so magical, all of it.
Which is best? - what a difficult question. I've looked at both, back and forward. Maybe they are two different paintings - one the soft but detailed watercolour and the other, with added outlines, more an illustration, but both equally valid and beautiful.

  14. Both versions are charming and magical, but I think I like your finished version best! What a sweet bird!

  15. one is definitely more finished then the other but I do like the unfinished version more - with their almost loose way the colors are added. I don't know, I just know I like that better. I suppose if I have not view them together, I might not have a preference. but then again, it is personal taste isn't it?

hope you have a lovely day.

  16. Dear Tammie, I'm going for your first work ......
it's like it looks sharper, not seen together all two equally beautiful.
also has to do with taste.
A new visitor is always welcome, especially if he can sing well.
    A beautiful bird.
    Groetjes Christiene.

    Groetjes Christiene.
