Lady in White ~

stars for thoughts
stars surround
stars at night
and always around
stars in blue
i offer to you
stars of my heart
~

two posts ago I shared my fairy drawing
often when I get to the part where I choose a hair color
well I love it white

white hair
is something I am exploring
in my art

This is a tiny watercolor
almost 4x6 inches
that I did yesterday
it is made on a piece of Khadi Paper
that wonderful artist and woman
Lynne Hoppe gave me.
I loved working on it!

For the first time I am offering an original painting
for sale

find it in: the shop

  2. The first is a goddess, possessing that wonderful celestial calm; the second is far more human in that appraising look ... more capable of mischief, too, I suspect. Love the delicacy of the watercolor; gorgeous shading; gorgeous hair, too!

  4. Hello Viola,

Thank you for your loving! You have inspired a smile.
I am having fun with white hair, so far I have three, but I am thinking of doing a number more... for fun, a white hair theme.

    Anno,

I love looking at my art fresh through your eyes.
    Thank you.

    warmth,

    Tammie

  22. Wow! These are wonderful... Love the star hair and her face. She is so enchanting and magical. The second one might be my favorite of yours ... Ever. There is something so unique and mysterious and stark about her... Raw in a way... Can't explain it but that is part of what makes her great. Love her. You are on a roll!

  24. Breathtaking! I love the stars in her hair. And yes, I love white hair except on my head. The soft shading and rendering of her beautiful face is great against the "flatness" of her starry hair!

I love how you used white hair! I HAVE to try this, you just do it so well, she's beautiful! Your little painting is adorable too!
Hope you are seeing more and more signs of spring there, I bet it is just beautiful to watch it unfold after such a cold winter!

Missed your gentle beautiful influence in my weekend; I do look forward to sharing all of your wonderfully soothing and creative art and poetry.

  42. OH! Tammie! I love the faces you draw. I like the white hair, too. You would not know that since I was a little girl, I've wanted silver hair to my knees.

It's not silver yet--though I see touches here and there--and it isn't to my knees yet, either. It's waist-length. lol

Your drawings are so lovely. I think I would recognize your artwork anywhere. ((hugs)) It is lovely.

  43. Your lady in white is gorgeous. More and more in your illustrations I'm seeing a children's book - a modern-day fairy story on thick, quality paper.
