Election's Eve

as a dear friend replaced my plumbing today
i found myself drawing a Buddist monk

in meditation
~
i thought about our country
the USA
our election tomorrow

my heart leans towards all hearts
may we consider the best path
for all life
on planet earth
 ~
may we consider paths that support life
of trees
 of flowers
 fungi
and critters
all people

may peace and health and love
reign on earth

with love,
Tammie

  6. Wonderful prayer that goes really well with your monk. The pictures are awesome. Is that a baby squirrel on the 4th photo?

  8. Amen. Amen. Trees, Flowers, Skies, Dogs and Cats but most of all Human lives. May we choose the path that preserves and protects the lives of the most defenseless unborn humans. Amen.

  11. Yes Denthe, that is a baby squirrel. the mother had them under my cabin, between the shower wall and logs... i could hear them nursing once in a while, tiny little sounds.... then one day the squirrel was acting odd, running back and forth across my porch, i went out to see her moving them out... .and into a hole in the earth! I was so happy they were moving out. It was amazing to see the tiny squirrels. This photo is where she paused to catch her breath. She took the squirrel out of her mouth and held it for a moment, but it back in her mouth and almost flew as she ran off.
    Thank you for asking.

  18. Good morning, Tammie!

What gorgeous art you make. I could only wish and WORK HARD to make my illustrating flow so freely! I am a paper artist and therefore my designs and technique are different....but your art is so soulful and tells a tale.

Thank you for coming by to visit and yes, may our country and planet work together to save all that we have: OURSELVES!

    Peace, Anita

  25. What a beautiful post of serenity. It was much needed during this contentious election season. So much hate that was unnecessary. I hope the nation can come together as one and heal.

  27. I absolutely love the picture with all the faces. Your work has such a warmth. I love all the soft colours. I actually have colour envy when I look at your paintings because every time I switch from a pencil to colour, I can't seem to get it to look the way I want.

I love looking at your blog and try to pop back often.
