Election's Eve

as a dear friend replaced my plumbing today
i found myself drawing a Buddist monk

in meditation
i thought about our country
the USA
our election tomorrow
my heart leans towards all hearts
may we consider the best path
for all life
on planet earth
may we consider paths that support life
of trees
 of flowers
and critters
all people

may peace and health and love
reign on earth
with love,

  1. Une belle journée à tous... Gros bisous

  2. Thank you for the beautiful peace that you share here! I wish for a system that no longer plays the game of polarity, but bursts forth with love!

  3. Martine, thank you xo

Stacey, i add my heart to yours, may your wish be true!

  4. Lovely post, drawings and photographs...I wish those things too!
The buddhist monk is wonderful, gentle and shining, the words that show through really add a lovely, magical feel to it.

  5. Such a beautiful post Tammie... I can feel the peacefulness just from your writing... I adore your Buddhist Monk... something very serene there... and lovely faces...

    Jenny ♥

  6. Wonderful prayer that goes really well with your monk. The pictures are awesome. Is that a baby squirrel on the 4th photo?

  7. I hope that whoever gets in will serve your country with love and not greed and war. Anyway that's enough politics for me! ;)
Your artwork is serene and beautiful.

  8. Amen. Amen. Trees, Flowers, Skies, Dogs and Cats but most of all Human lives. May we choose the path that preserves and protects the lives of the most defenseless unborn humans. Amen.

  9. Honestly, I am so worried and anxious.

  10. Oh Tammie! you are such a good and lovely person! :)
How outstanding - both your drawings, photos and words!! =) I wish the same as you, then earth would be a lovely place to live on.. :)

The sweet squirrel is taking care of her baby, so sweet! :)

How lovely photo of the trees and branches and leaves! and the flowers are just gorgeous!

This is a lovely post, happy election! :)

  11. Yes Denthe, that is a baby squirrel. the mother had them under my cabin, between the shower wall and logs... i could hear them nursing once in a while, tiny little sounds.... then one day the squirrel was acting odd, running back and forth across my porch, i went out to see her moving them out... .and into a hole in the earth! I was so happy they were moving out. It was amazing to see the tiny squirrels. This photo is where she paused to catch her breath. She took the squirrel out of her mouth and held it for a moment, but it back in her mouth and almost flew as she ran off.
    Thank you for asking.

  12. what a peaceful post! i too hope for the best possible outcome for the election! i love the monk too! :)

  13. Tammie the Buddha prayer is perfection in bringing peace and a sense of gratitude...and of course to hope the path our future takes leads us to a better world.

  14. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we had minds and hearts as you in leadership positions?

    Thank you Tammie

  15. oh my goodness, I thought the squirrel was holding an acorn until I read your comment! What an amazing world we live.

What gorgeous art you make. I could only wish and WORK HARD to make my illustrating flow so freely! I am a paper artist and therefore my designs and technique are different....but your art is so soulful and tells a tale.

Thank you for coming by to visit and yes, may our country and planet work together to save all that we have: OURSELVES!

    Peace, Anita

Peace is, I think, the manifestation of human compassion.”

  25. What a beautiful post of serenity. It was much needed during this contentious election season. So much hate that was unnecessary. I hope the nation can come together as one and heal.

Oh Tammie, I love this. Wish I saw it last week during all the election chaos. Bless your very special heart. May all hearts come together towards benefitting *all life*.

    Beautifully composed... thank-you dear.

  27. I absolutely love the picture with all the faces. Your work has such a warmth. I love all the soft colours. I actually have colour envy when I look at your paintings because every time I switch from a pencil to colour, I can't seem to get it to look the way I want.

I love looking at your blog and try to pop back often.

Lovely of you to drop by! I love hearing from you~
