Reflection

quietly
deeply
she sat
until the light of the candle's flame
reminded her of her own light
~

i came across a sketch i did a while back:

I let it inspire this painting
what the first photo does not show is that there is an iridescent
gold  aura around the fairy and the candles flame, oh well
~

thank you for a wonderful month Alaya!

  8. Hi Tammie,

Don't you love it when an old sketch inspires a new work! Love the poem and how the aura envelopes the fairy.

  13. Lovely painting and wonderful words!

Today is "Michaelistag", the day of the Arcangel Michael and of all angels.

Every soul has in the inner heart the "Godslight". Sometimes the soul does not feel it, but it is here always.

  17. Hi Tammie! something is always lost when bringing traditional media painting into the digital world. Despite this, the sweetness and serenity of your winged lady comes across quite strongly. Thank you so much for inspiring me to join the challenge and congratulations for completing it! Cheers!

  18. Peace flows from this painting,I can feel it. I'm very attracted to candle flames at present, maybe it's the time of year and because the changing light creates a more radiant glow.
And maybe no explanation is necessary.

    Happy creating!

  19. I love your reflection picture! The day you have posted it was my son's thirtieth birthday and I had much to reflect that day. So your picture with the beautiful fairy beside the candle means a lot to me. Many thanks!
