Beings of Light

they met in a magical realm

two beings of light

radiating for all life

~

Seems I have been working on this piece for months

a few minutes here, a half hour there, it is time to call it

complete.

Which means I can start on a new one ;-)

~

I hope your summer has been going well.

That the season of abundant life is inspiring you

and uplifting you.

Open and Receive

He stepped from the autumn woods
to find her
offering golden light

~

Feels so good to complete a painting.
I started this in July
life had some other plans for me, besides painting.

Now I get to start another painting, wahoo
~

I hope you are all enjoying our new season.
There is something about the thresholds of seasons,
the air holds a different energy
two seasons greeting one another
dancing back and forth.
A heightened sense of life perhaps.

Here in NW Montana
it feels as though we have truly entered autumn,
summer has vanished.

Lovely autumn to you!

Painting available here.

Looking for a Fairy but found an Angel

This is from the course Magical Forest where we are guided to create a series.

I am working on 4 paintings. In this one I was looking for a fairy, but I found an angel.

I am not confident that my rays of light portray rays of light, but at lest they feel like rays of energy, maybe close enough.

Wings

she gazed across the universe
glancing down on earth
sending heartfelt wisdom
trusting that we let it

Perhaps an Angel

through the veils of night
it's stars
and beyond
she beheld the realm of earth
her heart resisted leaning towards
nor away
so much
the earthlings still have to learn

D.C.: Maria

our blog friend
offered the drawing challenge: Maria
a name
in religion: mother and child
dark spots on the moon
the sea is in this word: mar

for some reason i kept thinking of a woman
she holds the entire world and even universe in her heart,
her body
simply in the ability to give birth to life

i felt the spiritual stance of stillness
with love
and acceptance
and this is the drawing that came

i will also share an older piece

a spiritual vision in the form of a woman
hovering
above the sea

Thank you Patrice
for being our lovely host!

also sharing with 29 faces

Winter Coat

two nights ago
i woke and had the image of a full winter cloak
in my minds eye

the one above is an ink drawing
freestyle
no sketch
a fairly fast piece
so freeing.....

neither of the coats in these two pieces look like the one from my sleepy state
i may have to bring it to life yet

Hovering Above the Sea

sitting at the sea
she appeared to me
assuring all my dreams
light is what it seems
offering a heart stance
her light uplifted grace
though she disappeared
her light is always near

I quite enjoyed following a tutorial by Lynne Hoppe,

layering art supplies in a way that is new to me

used my fingers to smear crayons and watercolors around
fun fun
i will have to do this again!
Lynne, thank you for sharing your techniques with us!

Modern Angel

angel for a modern world
her heart and hand on the pulse
of what is tender and real
our tears touch her
she holds space
reminding us
that love thrives beneath the surface

Angel Blue

look into my eyes
feel into your heart
planted there is all you need
for every moment that you breathe
remember
always
~

hello
i want to share
that as i drew
then painted angel blue
i felt like she was telling me things:
to have courage to honor my dreams
to fly with my highest truth
to find my courage and let it guide each breath
she holds a unwavering gaze
penetrating until we hear what she has to say

perhaps she has a message for you?

do your paintings have spirits
that speak to you?
