unfolding her wings
she took flight
she folded her eyelid over her eye
a bit of a wink
yet with her tears slowly cascading down her check
it was a mix of sweet sad and alluring

ReplyDeleteOh Tammie Lee, this is fantastic. What I love about bloggers is that we are ALIVE because we are creating. So many fun challenges, so many fun ideas where we all connect in some way. And thank you so much for coming to visit and sharing your comment. It really is uplifting to know that the things I love are shared by others such as you.
ReplyDeleteIt's snowing here! I suppose you too are getting at least that blast of cold air! ENJOY with something hot to drink and a roaring fire if you can! Anita
hello Anita,
Deleteyes, ,coming together, sharing our passions for life, it is a very good thing. yes, it has been so cold here for at least a week! One snow that is evaporating in the cold, but crystals grow daily and i love that.
Hi Tammie, both drawings inspire me to move, to unfold, to live. Both make me smile.
ReplyDeleteThank you. xo Carole

DeleteI used to do that at high speed on figure skates and it did feel like an unfolding of wings and flying. Your illustrations are always so sweet Tammie. I love them, and this one in particular. (Wonder if I can still get a good height in a spiral? I'll try it next time I'm on the ice.)
ReplyDeletewonderful to imagine you skating and doing this! how wonderful. i have never been a skater, but i use to dance a lot. now just when i am moved... in my wee cabin.
Deletethank you for your lovely message Veronica. sweet week to you!
catch the spirit, i'll say. the elegance never leaves your drawings! and thank you, tammie, for your understanding words on alone-ness. it is a great comfort in creating, to realize i am not alone when being alone. there is always all of you, going through similar processes. n♥
ReplyDeleteBoth of them - text and drawings make me fly and smile and cry a little bit. Thank you. Lucia

ReplyDeletevery uplifting little piece on top! and then I want to say longing for the second- not really sad but mixed emotions there- lovely to see how things un fold here with you-
ReplyDeleteand your words always add dimension to your work- so lovely :)
Ha Tammie, she has a cute face and a bit sad, but she is beautiful !!
ReplyDeletethe other girl is ready for the dream of flight.
Beautiful drawings Tammie.
I wish you a pleasant and a good week.
dear greetings Christiene.
Ha Tammie, ze heeft een lief gezichtje en toch een beetje verdrietig, maar ze is mooi !!
het andere meisje is klaar voor de de droom vlucht.
Prachtige tekeningen Tammie.
Ik wens je een een fijne en goede week.
lieve groetjes Christiene.
The drawer is in the dancing position herself and can make those figures herself wit her own body.
ReplyDeleteWhat original paintings for the theme "Folds".
ReplyDeleteThe girl is poised - any second she will take off, I'm watching.
Folded her eyelid - a bit sad, but she has little flowers in her hair, I think she will be alright.
Beautiful and so full of grace! I love her pose. She's like a ballerina, delicate yet strong. And your wonderful sad lady will hopefully not be sad much longer. If I had her eyelashes, I would bat them all day long. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a creative interpretation. Love the simplicity and line work of that beautiful face. It has a really strong design element which I like very much.x
