  8. The braids look lovely, and the poem is awesome. Braids do look hard to sketch. Your snow looks beautiful but I am happy it isn't here. We actually have some sun today.

  18. They remind me of a series of books I read as a child called The Chalet School by Elinor M Brent Dyer. It was set in the Alps.

  22. This is so funny! I was just thinking about how hard it is to draw braids while I was walking the dog this evening. You've mastered the technique. They look great. I need a tutorial.

  30. hello everyone,
thank you for your lovely and supportive messages. you make me smile from my heart out.

    Jenny,
thank you for letting me know about your new printer!

    Julie-ann,

thank you for your lovely message.
i didn't even think of this being my first time to draw people from the back, but it was. I wanted to learn how to draw braids and not struggle each time i go to do it. So i sat down and struggled one time, ha. Then I drew a head around the braid and the body followed. On another page I drew two gals, once I saw that I wanted to see a page of gals with braids. I considered drawing something they were looking at, but loved the simplicity of b&w and the mystery of what they might be looking at.

    lovely week to you all!
    Tammie

  34. I really like your braids, Tammie! How fun that you looked at your own for a reference. Lovely lovely.

I was thinking about you this morning--I saw a beautiful little flower in the middle of a great expanse of green.

Somehow its delicate beauty in the middle there, reminded me of you and your forest home.

((hugs)) It is an honor to know you, my dear, talented Friend.

Your poetry is so touching, your artwork so beautiful. I love watching your pieces emerge. They're like butterflies.
