Shall We Dance

Shall we dance

~

I am taking a class from Páivi of Peony and Parakeet

I love her art and she is a wonderful teacher.

She has some videos on YouTube if you want to experience her teaching before considering a class.

I woke to our second snowfall today, around 2"

Then it rained all day and still coming down into the night.

My little birds were all wet:

And my fingers got SO cold.

Tis glove season.

  3. aahh, the little birds love you, and they especially love it when you have seeds in your hands. Snow already? I think we will get our first snowfall in December, but ya never know in the mountains. There is frost on my car in the early mornings, and already 23 degrees. Very cold here. Your paintings are always delightful, Tammie Lee. And guess what? Yesterday, I framed the painting you sent me of the girl at the creek. It will be out all Christmas, as I love red at Christmastime.

    Happy November days, Tammie Lee.

    1. Oh, I didn't live in the Bay area. My hometown was about 3 hours from there, and it was in northern California. I'm just further up north now. I lived in So Cal as well for awhile, but northern California has always been my home. : )

Dearest Tammie: What a miracle. A few moments I made in my Blog following answer to your comment:

"I really wonder ,why the sheep don't escape from her. Like the sparrows, which fly to your hand!"

Now I see your new post and I see the sparrow sitting so beautiful on your hand! That's amazing and this is a sign, that I'm deep connected with your forest-miracles. I love the painting!
Many greetings from Dori from the Bavarian Forest

    2. Good morning Dori, That is a fun coincidence. These little birds are smaller than sparrows. I have one now without tail feathers and it looks so very small. Thank you for enjoying the painting.

    1. Yes, I have quite a flock of birds this year. Wish people could see behind the scenes of my camera, they land on the camera, my head, shoulders and one walked across my heart the other day. That was sweet.

What a beautiful painting, Tammie Lee. Something about all the layers and textures works together to create such a sense of mystery. I am in awe.

It is wonderful, too, to see you with your chickadee in hand again, and I was delighted to hear that they land all over you, anticipating treats whenever they see you. Inspires another kind of awe.

Yes, next time, wear gloves. Stay warm friend. Looking forward to seeing where your creative imagination takes you next. (anno, who can't seem to log into many blogs these days... 😕)

    1. Thank you for your thoughts on this post, painting and chickadee. I am being watched by birds daily, if they see me in the cabin they come to the window, the moment I open my door at least 1-8 birds arrive. When I walk out with see, they make calls that resonate through the forest, "she is here, come and get it", within moments many birds arrive and they follow me on walks, for seed. Without seed none of this would happen. So fun to think of birds talking about me. And I sure talk about them. Time to start a new painting, right now!
