The Pearl

the chickadee
with great gratitude
drops a pearl into the hand
that feeds it

~

Recently I found this unfinished painting and sat down to finish it.
The same week the wee birds came back to take seeds from me.
Such sweet timing.
Their presence feels like the gift of a pearl.

~
this film is from yesterday
2/3rds of the birds were first timers
they learn from one another that it is safe to take seed from me

The film is in half time
showing the swift movements of the wee birds more clearly.
Enjoy

  2. The painting is beautiful. I'm glad you finished it and shared it with us.

Your video of hand feeding the birds made my day! They are so sweet. Some of them even sang you a little song for their seed.

  6. That was wonderful with the encounter with the bird and also the drawing that you painted wonderfully, fitting with the gratitude of a pearl.
The interaction between animals and humans is the most wonderful feeling!
    Greetings Elke

  7. I like the idea of finishing things you have put away. I can't decide what the yellow/orange field is but I like it.

    Sweet timing it is.

    Have a lovely day.

    1. Yes, it felt good to complete an unfinished piece from over a year ago.
The field is just that autumn grasses and bushes. A lot like what fields look like here now.
      Lovely day to you too.
