100 Day Project

Hi Blog friends,
I have decided to do:
The 100 Day Project

I wanted to challenge myself to get back into doing regular art.
Even if it is just ten minutes a day.
I know that once I do ten minutes, there is a good chance it will last much longer.
Ten minutes seems enticing, do-able too.

I won't post every day, or at least I doubt I will.
This drawing is my start, next is to paint it.
It is in a small sketch book.

There is also a poem I wrote about fairies that I want to illustrate and have for sale during this 100 days.
Part of me telling you, is to say it out loud, to help hold myself to this challenge.

Are you doing this challenge?
If so, what will you be doing?
Photography, cooking, writing, working out, art?

Seems like a good time, while so many of us are home.
I hope this finds you well and wish you moments in all your days that make you smile.

  1. A nice project.
    I made many cards myself.
Now I'm going to do something else for a while :)

    Good luck and greetings.

  3. I hadn't heard of this challenge but it sounds like a good time to do it. After all, what's ten minutes a day when we have whole days?!

  4. Dear Tammie, I KNOW THIS!! An artfriend once said to me, the hands always have to be in moving for doing art. Also I think it is a challenge for mind and soul and an exercise for the spirit. It's like a musician, he also has always to exercise his hands and fingers.

But not looking for these aspects, it is the best way to find back again into producing art. Without art I think I do not do anything, even when I'm completely active.

So I wish you good ten minutes tomorrow and the next 100 day to be in your Original Tammie-work! The dragon wants to fly, - exactly how Elke said in her fine comment.

Creative greetings from forest to forest, from artpaint to artpaint from Dori

    1. It is interesting how creative people pretty much need to be doing something creative or it feels wrong and like we are getting very little accomplished.
Yes, dragons are meant to fly!

Wishing you a good time in your forest and with your beautiful art.
