Scribble Picnic: black and white

I drew the white bits with a masking liquid pen
and let it dry

then wet the sky with water and dropped black ink into it
(I learned this technique from Stephanie Law's

the landscape was painted with pure black ink

when dry I rubbed the masking away revealing the white

It was a fun thing to do and I think I would enjoy trying it again

  5. How interesting to try a new technique and doesn't it look good.
The sky behind looks quite ominous, I think it might rain.

    1. Yes, and it is suppose to rain tonight and tomorrow! That will be good for our air quality and the forest. Won’t put them out but maybe slow them down?
Trouble is there is suppose to be big winds too. It is a fun technique. Mostly you let it do it’s own thing and then dry.
