I enjoyed considering nests this week:
our skull is a nest for our brain
body a basket/nest for our soul and spirit
earth nest for all life on planet
I thought of homes
or feeling at home
a place to give birth
to nurture new life
caring for life in a nest
these thoughts hold my heart like a nest holds eggs
~
thank you for being our wonderful host Ariane!

I love both the paintings.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet.
Have a nice weekend.
Liefs, Melanie
both your pieces are great. it won't be long til we're seeing birds begin their nesting rituals. i hope the robins come back for nesting at our house again. they've been doing it for a few years now. it's always exciting to see. hope all is well. have a great day~
ReplyDeleteSo lovely … the contemplation and the images.
ReplyDeleteMy spouse has been putting up new birdhouses around our little acre. That was his late-winter project, building the houses. He's finishing up a wren house and we need to replace the pole in our front yard gardens ~ SOON ~ for the pair of wrens that return year after year. :)
yes, nest, what a theme... you even made two lovely drawings, my fav. is the second one with the forget-me-not flowers, a fantastic idea!

Where are those marshmallows? I came for some marshmallows! I bet you make excellent ones!
ReplyDeleteOh, these are so sweet! Feathers and sweet forget me nots make the best thresholds for new life. I love the imagery of a fairy blessing the eggs. So wonderful!
Gorgeous and magical! these are both so beautiful..I love how in the first one, the way the leaves are dangling like poems..so pretty, and the second is enchanting..full of motion and harmony!
ReplyDeleteLovely and magical art as always!

This theme is always so new, though it is as old as life. This theme is so important. I am sad, that a lot of chicken never are allowed to now, what a nest is, being breeded by a mother-hen!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful drawings, beautiful, important text!
The first drawing is my favorite. A beautiful tree .The little blue figure made me smile.
ReplyDeleteThese are delightful. They fill me with hope for spring!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely delightful Tammie! How I long for spring. These paintings and words made it seem closer. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love to see how you interpret your imagination to your painting Tammie. This is lovely!

ReplyDeletei wish i could peek inside that nest, like i can peek here, in yours...

Tammie,
ReplyDeleteI love how your mind thinks. It is so nice to find someone who thinks with her heart and soul, and is able to think about connections. Your art lately is so refreshing and shows a sense of renewal and peace!
Love the fairy preparing the eggs for life and success!
