I went away this week
Up the North Fork to Polebridge
stayed in a cabin named Stone Cloud
the name of this beautiful and wild land inspired this painting:
while in Stone Cloud
the mountains became her wings

i love her pink hair! i am so tempted to dye my hair pink at the moment but I don't dare before my wedding! My mum would be so annoyed with me i think! I love the colourful pebbles you have where you live too- sooo pretty!

ReplyDeleteYour winter is very strong!! Often I think of all my friends there over the ocean. Our winter in Bavaria was extremely soft this year, easyer to live for old women, old dogs and old hen, thanks goodness....

A lovely watercolour painting, and I particularly like the colourful clouds, so much more expressive than realism, they are happy clouds. What gorgeous coloured pebbles, I wish I could see them in real life.

I love this one! At first, I thought Stone Clouds was such a curious name. But then I saw your painting and suddenly it all made sense and everything was perfect. Her wings and the colorful stones at her feet -- so gorgeous! And I love the snow on the mountain tops too.
