glancing outside
I spied
an
elf boy at the base of a tree
reached for my binoculars.....
but he wasn't there
~
maybe the tree bent down and picked him up
taking ones eyes away to reach for a camera or binoculars
is always to take risk of missing out on the sighting
~
still, it was a joy to see him

Thank you for such a lovely and magical message Victoria.
DeleteYour art has grown! I love your header
ReplyDeleteThat is nice to hear, thank you Cloudia.
DeleteI love this :) It's true, I've carefully glimpsed away for a few seconds to get my camera...then the magic is gone...but are always in my memories. Lovely drawing!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt has happened to me so many times. I think that magic if it is willing to reveal itself to us, then it requires our full heart presence. If we take it away, for even a moment, or thought, it wanders off.
DeleteMaybe the tree did bend down to pick him up -- or maybe he was a fairy in disguise and flew away! This is just lovely. A story waiting to happen!
ReplyDeleteYes, maybe the tree did bend down, I should have looked up.
DeleteThere is a special light in this miraculous drawing.high tree, high mountains, deep desire of the elf-boy. Somehow he is caught in his desire and dream and does not realize the way, well and flowers into the high mountains.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your vision and thoughts of t his piece, they mean more to me than I can say.
DeleteWhat a wonderful experience to have! You clearly live close to magic.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy that part of life...
DeleteMooi Tammie deze Elven jongen waar te nemen het om te zetten in een prachtig Kleurijke-tekening,sprookjesachtig mooi!!!
ReplyDeletegroetjes Christiene.
Beautiful Tammie this Elven boy where to take it to turn into a beautiful Colorful drawing, beautiful!
greetings Christiene.
Thank you so much Christiene.
Deletereally nice rich deep colours :D maybe he became the tree?
ReplyDeleteI like that, maybe he is part of the tree, the part that can slide out and walk around. Maybe trees do not always live in one spot ;-)
DeleteA beautiful painting, and a reminder that we should ever stretch ourselves and never stop learning. :)
ReplyDeleteI do agree with you Jackie.
DeleteAaaaaaaaahhhhh! Here is your mysterious boy! Oh yes, he DOES look like he is asking the tree to pick him up. I love the thought of the tree doing just that. In fact, all the trees, the boy, and the mountain all seem to be saying, "Up!" The colors in this one are wonderfully vibrant and cheery. I adore this!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. I love the painting. Good reminder to stay in the moment! I have to remind myself during travels to not live through a lens!
ReplyDeleteHappy (belated) Earth Day!
This is all so very pretty with the deep colours. I love these hills and the blue blue stream.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what you mean, I can see the elf boy perfectly well, quick! - have another look!
Ah...these nature spirits are elusive folk!
