the night forest was
lit up
by the light of the full moon
wrapped in a blanket
to keep the autumn chill from her bones
she walked through the night

Very elegant yet clean and simple. You have captured the theme very nicely.
ReplyDeleteThank you Wanda.

ReplyDeleteindeed, warmly wrapped in the forest.
DeleteI love your words as much as your drawings!
ReplyDeleteThank you for enjoying both Jeanie. Somehow I relax and let something come to me to write.
DeleteTammie Lee,
ReplyDeleteI love this interpretation of the theme. Walking in the wood with a blanket. Super idea and great sketch.
Blessings
Janis
How cozy to walk with a blanket wrapped around you. At first glance I thought you might be doing a blanket of leaves.
ReplyDeleteA blanket of leaves is a great idea at this time of year!
DeleteClever! Absolutely clever. I like your idea and it's a wonderful painting, Tammie. So Autumnal, too. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Alexandra. It took a bit of time to breathe life into ;-)
DeleteOh a WONDER! The moonlight really shines! I feel it really. How did you bring this miracle on paper!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely and encouraging messages. It is just lovely when someone really enjoys one of my pieces.
DeleteIt is fun to attempt light.
Wonderful take on the theme, Tammie! A perfect way to stay warm on those walks...I like her hat too. :)
ReplyDeleteyes, hat and blanket make the walk possible
Deletethis is dreamy, makes me think of the wonders of night and what could happen. I like the way the leaves dance around her, quite a serene piece.
ReplyDeletehave a lovely day.
Yes, it makes me think of what could happen during the night. I appreciate you sharing that.
Deletelovely touching drawing, it is so what kind of heart radiance in the middle of the forest path ...colours is wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sensing into this piece.
DeleteYou are a story teller, it is clear. This is simply beautiful, Tammie Lee ... you have many talents.
ReplyDeleteAndrea @ From the Sol
Thank you for my wee bits of story that I share.
DeleteLast night, the full moon looked just like your illustration. This is so pretty and makes me want to wrap a blanket around me on the first cold night - coming soon hopefully - and stroll through the garden perhaps!
ReplyDeleteThe full moon was amazing in the forest here too. Wishing you a lovely walk.
DeleteI love this scene. What a nice little adventure. I love the fairy ring too!
ReplyDeleteThank you for enjoying this Lorraine and for noticing the fairy ring. I love finding mushrooms and autumn is their main season, this autumn there are almost none. I miss them.
DeleteOOh, Tammy, I just saw that you signed up right under the wire and almost missed it but thankfully had to update the picnic theme (and extend deadline accordingly as such)! This is a lovely way to show a blanket. No one did that. I like your words here too. Well done!! I particularly enjoy the shadows from the trees and the moon glow.
ReplyDeleteGlad I was here after you added the color. What a perfect blanket for a fall night stroll by the light of a great bright moon!
