I enjoy considering thresholds
stepping from my door to the outside world
from my car to the outside world
from one breath to the next
from one season to another
i find being aware of that place
the place between
that pause
the crossing
from one place to another
brings me present
to the magic in the mundane
I took this portrait of a snowflake today,
it is so beautiful!
Evidence that we have crossed the threshold of autumn
into winter!

The snowflake is really beautiful. Where are the footsteps leading? Into a magical place. Like the idea of Thresholds. We all have to cross them sometimes.
ReplyDeleteonly you can tell me where they are leading to, ;-)
DeleteI think a magical place as well.
This is Universe! Both the pictures: the drawing and the snowflake. Beautiful universal text, too. WONDERFUL!
ReplyDeletethank you dear Dori!
DeleteBeautiful post ♥
ReplyDeletethank you Carol.
DeleteThresholds are near and dear to me. Life is full of them. Some so small they're easy to miss until we look back. Some so big that we're reluctant to cross. I love them all.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your thoughts on thresholds, perhaps you will join us Rose.
DeleteSo very in! With some sort of brilliant, shimmering threshold to step across. :D
ReplyDeleteif you could see this painting it really does shimmer with metallic paint, so fun that you said that!
DeleteTammie, an interesting challenge. I am in!
ReplyDeleteYour art interests me and leads me into it. It creates wonder and contemplation.
The snowflake is so stunning. How ever did you get it to pose for you?
Thanks for the invitation!
So lovely that you will join us Renee. Thank you for message about the art and snowflake, it was so tiny, my eyes could not see all this detail.
Deletehey tammie, tresholds are powerful. i can think of a few, to then feel they sometimes become part of the mundane. it is interesting to stand still and wonder... i'll be away, but am preparing a post beforehand in my weekly blog'duties', so i'll be glad to partake anyway, and i'll stop by beginning next week to come find out about tresholds. so, yeah, i'll be there, somehow. n♥

Deletethank you for your message. I am enjoying considering your thoughts on the mundane. Somehow i feel most 'magic' rises from or is woven into the fabric of the mundane. Available for all to experience and discover. Somehow a threshold, a place from one to another, offers the opportunity to pause, to sense, to discover what one is leaving and about to enter. Perhaps similar to the place between breaths, or between being awake and falling asleep.
If you can not sign in to the Linky, I will link you post for you.
Wishing you a wonderful time away!
Just lovely Tammie!
ReplyDeletethe snowflake shot is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeletea very good theme for DC, not sure I'll be participating but I'm going think about it.

Your own threshold is in and to a magical place, as if in a dream.
ReplyDeleteIt's an interesting and unique theme, I'm thinking of it!
Lovely! I feel the same about twilight.
ReplyDeleteYou are the best snowflake shooter I know.
Ha Tammie
ReplyDeleteprachtig de voetjes, wandelen zonder drempels de winter in!
De sneeuwster zo mooi ,en laat zien afscheid van de herfst
en schittert het bijna winter.
