Autumn gold
held
beneath
winters frozen breath of ice
twas a beautiful day at the lake
when the sun comes out to show off the beauty of our world
I try to be out under its lovely light
for our winters tend to be cloudy
The lake shore was frozen for quite a ways into the lake
yet there were windows in the ice revealing treasures below
the artful expression of nature
appears to be endless and whimsical at times
some winters
and this lake does not freeze at all
there were people walking on this ice.....
so fun to see ice forming in a myriad of shapes and different transparencies
I hope you have enjoyed the glimpses of Lake McDonald
in winter wonderland

For the grace and imagination of your vision and all the discoveries you make in your wonderland -- thank you for sharing it all with us! Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anno, for enjoying and your message. I accidentally posted this on my art blog, then decided to let it be here. Nature's art. It is nice to be home.... was away for a few weeks.... doing things that were not much fun, but needed being done.
DeleteWonderfully beautiful Tammie.
ReplyDeleteThank you for enjoying Hilly
DeleteIncredible and wonderful scenes you show us here. I'm shure, that every single crystal is a greeting from heaven. And every crystal is different from the other, This is divine and amazing. Many greetings from Dori from the Bavarian Forest, where the snow is beginning to melt since today, I'm sorry...
ReplyDeleteWhat great white mountains you have!
Ah, so your winter is bowing out and making room for spring. We have a big storm starting tonight for two days and then deep cold temps... winter is going to show off before it melts away.
DeleteI never stop being dazzled by how you see -- and what you see. (Not to mention the profoundly outstanding quality of your photos!)
ReplyDeleteAH, so kind of you to say. Thank you so much!
DeleteTammie Lee, you take the most beautiful photos. And the pictures of the frozen ice in their wonderful shapes are very cool. Your lake is so pretty, and you still have snow! There is still snow on Mount Shasta right now, and the mountain that surrounds my town as well.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of February, Tammie Lee.

Ah, thank you for enjoying them. Ice can be so artful! Oh yes, more snow coming tonight and even more tomorrow night! Winter is not over yet. Do you see Mount Shasta from where you live?

Gosh, it is sometimes hard to leave messages with links to our blogs, I wonder why that is? It happens to me too. Thank you for enjoying these.
DeleteYou've captured the beauty of winter perfectly. Such lovely photos. I like the patterns of the frozen waters.
