The autumn king of the northwest woods
Lay down his crown to rest and dream upon the pebble strewn mossy carpet of forest floor
Opening his heart to the permeation of birdsong
He came under the spell of the charms
Charms dangling within the branches of leaves
Made by the wood witch of the northwest woods
Lay down his crown to rest and dream upon the pebble strewn mossy carpet of forest floor
Opening his heart to the permeation of birdsong
He came under the spell of the charms
Charms dangling within the branches of leaves
Made by the wood witch of the northwest woods

Beautiful Tammie :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Rain!
DeleteThis poem is adventurous, but I cannot understand the complete depth. I think it's your personally mystery. Maybe the door will be opened for me when i see the colours or the next drawing.
ReplyDeleteThis is what I interpret:
The king is the stag. He lay down his antlers to humble his kingdom by loving the bird's singing. So he got a second crown, the wreath.
Hi Dori,
DeleteYes, I could see how you could not understand the depth. For one reason I have only offered an incomplete glance like I often do.
Your interpretation is beautiful Dori. Thank you for sharing that!
That is so lovely, Tammie! Instantly transported me to the forest.
