I felt like they were similar to my home in Montana
edible berries and mushrooms
which inspired this piece:

DeleteThis is very lovely, Tammie. I LOVE the various textures throughout your mushroom. It's beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Alexandra. The gold in the mushroom is gold leaf and the texture is made from a a watercolor ground.

Thank you so much. It is fun to continue learning how to express myself with art.
DeleteBiggest sigh. Your art is beautiful and that purple background really sets it off.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
DeleteIt is fun to play with watercolor ground and gold leaf to create texture.
lovely day to you Jeanie.
What a beautiful and delicate madallion for your take on the them. I think it would be a great wall hanging or a lovely paper weight. Gorgeous work.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Wanda. Fun to consider other things to use it for.
DeleteYou illustrate such a wonderful and magical and safe world which I can almost believe is real somewhere.
ReplyDeleteThe large mushroom is not threatening to the bare trees but is part of their world, they are intertwined in the most friendly of ways.
Thank you for sharing your perception, it is wonderful to look at the painting anew, as though you created it.
Deletethis being round, makes me think of those old fashion plates where they have such wonderful artwork. I like all the trees/vines. finland or not, this is lovely,
ReplyDeletehave a lovely day.
Thank you Lissa.
DeleteIt would be fun to put art on a plate. I have never done that, have you?
Lovely day to you too!
no, I haven't put my art on plates or on anything as of yet, though I think your art is perfect for plates.
Deletehave a lovely day.
Oh wow. I mean, WOW! The textures are wonderful and perfectly placed. I wish I could run my finger over the underside of that mushroom. Speaking of fingers, I just learned about the mushroom called Dead Man's Fingers. Yikes! I'd jump out of my skin if I saw those poking out of the ground.
ReplyDeleteThank you for enjoying this with enthusiasm.
DeleteThe undersides of these mushrooms are like sponges, they don't have gills. They are highly sought after, such a yummy treat when cooked!
Your learning of the Dead Man's Fingers and your reaction make me giggle out loud. I certainly can picture then in your art! Thank you for sharing them with me. I don't think I have found them in the woods, yet they grow where the edible morel mushrooms do, so maybe next spring I will have the pleasure ;-)
Beautiful universe of mushrooms shown in your mushroom-artwork!.
