I woke to the screaming calls of two fox in the woods
their sounds are quite unique
somehow it inspired a feeling of all is right in the world

That's a nice drawing! We've heard foxes, but usually at the end of the summer. They are very unique sounding! Your words made me think of something I used to say...that even porcupines need hugs too. :)
ReplyDeleteAh, thank you Rain. The first time I heard fox calling I could not imagine what it was! I looked it up on YouTube.
DeleteI like your hug idea.
Really wonderful drawing and nice thoughts indeed. Warm greetings to you!
ReplyDeleteLovely to get your message, thank you.
DeleteI love your yoga fox! He looks most at peace!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeanie.
Delete"somehow it inspired a feeling of all is right in the world" ....
ReplyDeleteI had the same inspiration coming into my mind by the word: "And look, everything was very good". Nothing will be lost, and all are included into the big dream of everlasting happiness, a dream which will be our true future, I believe.
Lovely fox, a little bit naughty, but he MUST be a little bit naughty, to be loved by his creator :)
Thank you for enjoying this piece Dori.
DeleteFun that it reminded you of similar but different thoughts.
Such a sweet fox! It must be wonderful to have the foxes and nature right outside.
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful. I rarely see them, but love it when I do.
DeleteInspired by a nightly cry from the fox and that you have drawn beautifully on the sheet. I love your painting.
ReplyDeleteThe fox looks very great!
Greetings Elke
Thank you so much ELke.
DeleteI love foxes. For me they connect in a very primal way going back to childhood.
ReplyDeleteYou've captured the energy of fox .... beautiful!
Ruby
Haha, wonderful zen fox!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fox. I love the yoga fox idea.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and peaceful way to show a fox, which I don't think of as a peaceful animal...but true, everyone needs that moment. Should have known you are good with foxes, as I like the one in your header. Great job again.
ReplyDeleteEen mooie tekening Tammie een vos die mediteert
ReplyDeletede geluiden,de roep uit het bos die inspiratie geeft
tot deze prachtig aquarel!
Wens je een mooie week!
groetjes Christiene.
A beautiful drawing Tammie a fox who meditates
The sounds, the call from the forest that gives inspiration
To this beautiful watercolor!
Wish you have a nice week!
Greetings christiene
As soon as I say this week's Scribble Picnic theme, I knew you'd have no problem painting a fox!
ReplyDeleteLovely fox portrayal, Tammie...very zen and meditative. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI love your fox but I'm afraid we have very different feelings about their screaming in the night. Scares the living daylights out of me. Your yoga fox would not. I love the peacefulness of it.
ReplyDeletethis is wonderful & I like your fox looks almost quite human. and I like how you did the furs - sort of rough and a bit messy.
ReplyDeletehave a lovely day.
Yes, our foxes often call out at night - usually the barking sound which is somewhat different from a dog. It's eery, at night time especially, but makes me understand that we are just part of the landscape of life, the animals are always out there too!
ReplyDeleteYour illustration is amazing.
Mary -
Foxes really are so magical, I feel, every time I;ve seen one...which, in fact, has always been in the city, oddly enough!
ReplyDeleteYour style here is almost fragile and perfect for the theme of stillness for your lvoely rendered fox. Wonderful. Thank you Tammie.
That is interesting that you have seen fox in the city. Usually I see them from the car, as with all wild life. In the wild, walking they usually hear us before we hear them and they disappear.
DeleteThank you for enjoying and for hosting us!
Tammie
ReplyDeleteThere is a small smile on her lips - like she is seeing something beautiful.
Lovely picture.
Blessings,
Janis
looks very peaceful, love how you did the fur :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun, a meditating fox! I never heard a fox scream. Maybe I'll have to look it up on YouTube, there must be a video somewhere with the sound ... Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeletelove this take on the theme! very nice.
ReplyDeleteEchaba de menos tu arte!
ReplyDeleteEs maravilloso.
Un beso!
Your fox is absolutely mystical and sublime...and so serene! Beautiful creature, I loved your story hearing them screaming in the night...wildly magical! I am a fox kindred...so I enjoyed this so much!! Awesome art as always Tammie!
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile as it's not how I usually envisage foxes! She does look very peaceful and I love her bushy tail. A lovely painting.
