Tammie, this is so magical. I really love how you do your tree and clouds! You definitely have a distinct style that works great! I also enjoyed the stroy behind it. It is mystical and inviting, like stepping into Narnia or something. GREAT take on the lantern theme too. Thank you! Lovely to see oyu back here with us at today's picnic. :) Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteThank you for considering the details Michael.
DeleteLiving in a wilderness area, which is like so many fairy tales... some how it influences much of my art.
Wonderful whimsical take on the theme today Tammie, good job!
ReplyDeleteOne look and you can see the magic of this. I want to know more about her. Wonderfully done.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy hearing that you see magic in this.
DeleteOh, the wonderful stories one could make up from your wonderful paintings. Fairy tales of the heart!
ReplyDeleteI love that my art inspires stories in you and other people.
DeleteThank you for letting me know Jeanie.
Your style is so full of wonder, and wondering. Where is she headed? Somewhere special with that smile on her face I think. I love the lantern, but the star in her other hand is what catches my eye too - and the curled up boots! Your trees are beautiful Tammie.

How fun that this piece makes you wonder at the story.
DeleteYes, that star wand, what will she do with it.
Oh gosh, what a LOVELY take on lantern. I love your style and the mystery of walking through the woods with it. So fun, Tammie! :)

Love the beauty of the clouds and the symbolism of the light she carries.
ReplyDeleteTammie,
ReplyDeleteDelightful picture and poem. I wonder where she is headed? Your background is exciting too. We need to be in the Light for sure. I am a sunshine girl.

Having the light gives us such confidence, which shines through in her posture and facial expression.
ReplyDeletethank you for seeing so much in her walk, I was trying to portray that.
DeleteI love this, Tammie! Great take on the theme. I was thinking the same as Joeks...her confidence shines through as she walks with the lantern. :)
ReplyDeletethe star she carries could also serve as the lantern, she looks like she's flying instead of walking.
ReplyDeletehave a lovely day.
I agree, the star could serve as a lantern as well. Not sure how that came to be, often when I sketch, it just all unfolds without much thought. I think it is a wand. I see what you mean about looking like she is flying. For me her walk was surefooted, strong and with grace, a good feeling thing to do. Something I also enjoy from time to time. Now I might imagine wings when I walk tall and swiftly because of you.
DeleteShe is charming!I like the story,Tammie.
ReplyDeletethank you Tomoko.
DeleteThank you every one for your lovely messages!
