fairies come in all shapes, sizes
and
colors of varying degrees
some are easy to spot as they leap through the air
others.....
one must glimpse from the corner of their sight
some blend in with life
but
if we turn to look directly at them
they disappear as if they never were there

You are right, fairies do show up in my art regularly.
DeleteI like that, a scribble of hair.
Lovely day to you too!
Your lil' diddly and painting to go with it exude charm. Very sweet and magical in that sense. Well done! I;ve never thought of fairies coming in different shapes adn sizes but you are so right! Thank you, Tammie, for joining us this week!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting and enjoying this Michael
DeleteI love your fairies, Tammie. And I LOVE your mushrooms. Your style lends itself to your unique, beautiful and peace-filled illustrations. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Alexandra.
DeleteI remembered some yellow and also a golden mushroom I found last year... so these were inspired by real ones.
Nicely done capturing these fairies... on paper of course!
ReplyDeletehee hee, thank you.

Elke
Thank you for enjoying this and also them ;-)
DeleteHi Tammie Lee :)) That is very pretty :) I mostly see fairies from the corner of my eye and then poof! They're gone! :) I like to think of butterflies as winged fairies as well. That's why I'm making a butterfly garden this spring. :))
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes, the corner of ones sight....
DeleteYes, butterflies and dragonflies and other insects too, remind me of fairies.
I would like a butterfly garden too, but it will need a fence due to deer eating every thing.
Oh, your text for this is as perfect as your drawing. I love the thought that we see them but cannot ever look directly. I think that's true!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jeanie. I think often it is true also.
Deleteah, thanks
ReplyDeleteYou're right I think about those little flashes of light you see out of the corner of your eye being fairies. At least I hope they are. I had to smile when I saw that fairy dancing happily along. I love your magical creation.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful Tammie - the fairies are so dainty, and the countryside very serene.
ReplyDeleteMary -
