she finds sanctuary
in the heart of her being
she finds sanctuary
in the quiet stance and strength of stones
she finds sanctuary
in the air all life breathes
she finds sanctuary
in all living beings

Tammie sorry not to have visited in a while, such beauty and nature all intermingled here. I love how you did this, the rocks with the bodies as one feel so comforting and infused with peace.
ReplyDeleteYour art has such a natural soul, completely one with nature's magic!
thank you so much Kat.
DeleteI have been wanting to do a few pieces with rocks like this.
In the "Spiritual canticle" of Juan della Cruz I red a verse with the sentence: O trees, bushes, flowers, stones - did he go here along and touched you with his clothes, because you look so happy?
ReplyDeletethat is beautiful Dori, thank you.
DeleteSleep well ~
You put such a beautiful spiritual practice in all your art Tammie. I absolutely love seeing every one. Next time I'm in child's pose I'm going to be that rock. Beautiful.
ReplyDeletethank you Veronica. I like imagining you take this offering and making it your own in yoga.
DeleteLovely weekend to you!
this is lovely, tammie. now when I see stone I will be looking to see which yoga pose they become. another level to their depth.
ReplyDeletefun to think that you will remember this when you are admiring rocks.
DeleteVery clever to include the bodies in yoga pose as part of the boulders. I think boulders hold stories of our history and this is a lovely painting.
ReplyDeleteYou speak from my heart, dear Tammie,
ReplyDeleteand your drawing is very strong and lovely. Beautiful.
Love,
Ariane. Rose
I have been looking for my sanctuary lately. I need to take to heart the advice of your woodland sprite.
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me, that I can find sanctuary in me and around me.
