greeting a new day
~
earlier this year, you might remember I created two gnome paintings (see below)
a friend asked if the gnome would be out from under the mushroom soon?
I said I wasn't sure.
he made a suggestion:
He is standing, his back to the viewer in a field of mushrooms, watching a sunrise
I took his suggestion
here are the two previous gnome paintings:
thanks for the inspiration Larry!

DeleteWhat fun gnome paintings! I love your watercolour textures, It looks like you might have used salt? It makes me want to have a play with my watercolours again! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Jess,
DeleteThank you for your kind message. Yes, i used salt, it is fun to see what happens, for me it is different every time. I think it has to do with how wet or only moist the paint still is.
lovely weekend to you
These are gorgeous! I especially love the night time one, that's extra special!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely sequence from sleeping to joyful awakening.
ReplyDeleteYour world is a happy one, illustrated so beautifully.

ReplyDeleteI have a beautiful morning now. You made my day!
Enjoy your new week!
Happy and Grateful. The best way to begin a new day. I wonder if he whistles as he wanders?
ReplyDeleteOh, I've got my happy on now! These are simply terrific -- and there's got to be a story linking them together -- there must be!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute expressions on your gnome faces. Awww :)
ReplyDeleteThese paintings bring a big smile to my face. I am marveling at how beautifully the colors blend in these paintings. Such gorgeous textures, especially the night sky and the swirl of stars that look like the Milky Way. Brilliant!
