imagine
that our bodies
are a cocoon
a sacred nest
for our heart
a protective
nurturing
safe haven
for our hearts to flourish
that our bodies
are a cocoon
a sacred nest
for our heart
a protective
nurturing
safe haven
for our hearts to flourish
within
i know
our hearts are but one of our physical organs
that live in our cocoon
yet
yet
our hearts
are also spiritually wise and a link to more
than our physical existence
our bodies a cocoon
for our sacred heart
are also spiritually wise and a link to more
than our physical existence
our bodies a cocoon
for our sacred heart

This is amazing, powerful and it has such symbolism! Great work, Tammie.
ReplyDeleteI really love this!
ReplyDeleteIt's for me also near your post of the little angel wrapped in the wings, sitting on a trunk.
Yes, dear Tammie and friends, we have the possibility and duty to shelter our heart, doing good blessing things with the craft of a loving sensitive empathic heart.
Great painting and post. Enjoy the weekend!

i'll second that thought; and as i'm reading your words, and all of the other participant's words.. we are all connected, intertwined... out beating hearts in our cocoony bodies.. so precious. n♥
ReplyDeleteYes! I love that thought too. The other day I was in yoga class led by my least favourite teacher, and she was going on in her strident voice about chakras. Sounded like this, "(Sanskrit word) is responsible for the highest (Sanskrit word) in our bodies and the (Sanskrit word) is to (Sanskrit word) so make sure you (Sanskrit word) the (Sanskrit word)..." ad infinitum! And I just sat listening to my heart feeling very whole while her harsh voice just bounced off of me. Now I know it was the soft cocoon of my body sheltering me. :D Big hugs
ReplyDeleteAmazing :-)
