With Spring here on this side of the earth
it is a great time to consider: 'Pollinators
Droege said “Almost all the fruits and nuts, and a lot of the vegetable varieties, that we eat require some insect—usually bees—for pollination,”
Droege said “Almost all the fruits and nuts, and a lot of the vegetable varieties, that we eat require some insect—usually bees—for pollination,”
here are some of our pollinators: bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, bats, ants, beetles, tiny rodents and more. So BIG Vast possibilities this week!
I saw my first butterflies of the year today! Two kinds, Mourning Cloak and an Compton Tortoiseshell:
I would say that Spring has begun!

ReplyDeletethe very essence of spring. i happened to witness a manual pollination just last week, it's a coincidence the word should pop up again. i'm sure i can come up with something, and i will. thxs. that an early tick, right?? n♥
ReplyDeletehow wonderful the timing.
Deletei guess all the bugs come crawling out with the sun and the sun was out. I usually get a tick at the beginning of the season and that is all. I hope that is how this year goes as well.
Wonderful painting, it's good that spring is really on its way. Valerie

Oh yay, another pollinator! He's probably drawn to her beautiful eyes. Though I respect bees, I'm not sure I'd stay so calm with one inches from my face, especially not one so large! :D This one, though, looks friendly enough.
ReplyDeleteSo glad the tick did not bite! Have a wonderful weekend!
