as one journeys through life
across meadows
up mountains
swimming rivers and oceans
through dreams
and
experiences
our hearts become
a treasure box
overflowing with a multitude of life's events
~
last week i had three skin cancer surgeries
on my face
and a few weeks before one on my shoulder
my heart now holds more experiences
i am well and healing
skin cancers removed
when it came to art
this experience was what poured out

DeleteYou are strong and wise, dear Tammie. My mom had a similar surgery years ago. It was concerning but she has been well ever since. My love and warmest wishes to you, as always.
ReplyDeleteyes, these are not serious cancers
Deleteand so good that they can be removed
still quite unnerving to go through any surgery
and the not knowing of how large the cancer might be when they begin
so good to have it behind me
sweet December to you
Glad that the skin cancer has been removed. I had a large patch removed from my arm 2 months back, and it was also completely removed. We can be thankful that doctors can do so much o help us these days! Valerie

So glad you got them removed. Hope all heals quickly. I always love in your paintings to see the connections between the figures and the animals and nature surrounding them. Looks like a beautiful world in which I would love to live ...
ReplyDeleteDear Tammie, I love this portrait very much, because it tells about a wonderful soul. This drawing really is an authentic description of your reality: connected with all these strong good natural creatures. I also see me with my lot of wild animals, which life sends to me to care for, wild animals, who keep me in movement and also find and give shelter and a heavenly message: Peace on earth! Does mean: Heart-peace. This person has found her heart-peace surrounded by a wonderful Universe.
ReplyDeleteThe wounds look beautiful. Sometimes our wounds can be our beautifulest jewelry...
Healing - Blessing - Grace - Love!
Before reading your text, I thought this might be a self-portrait. I can imagine the emotions and thoughts that your spirit goes through when something like this occurs. That is evident in your art work for this experience.
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear that you are doing well following the surgeries and wish you continued joy in life.
Glad to hear you're healing, and lovely illustration!
ReplyDeleteHeal well, stay well. What positive & beautiful energy you have, Tammy Lee!
