Hi Renee, I believe the background was either torn up pieces of napkin or tissue paper glued town with mat medium. After it dried i put gesso over it, most likely scraping it off with an old credit card. I often will put old paint and pretty or interesting papers in a journal and then they are ready whenever I want to make something. So it was a while ago that i prepped this page.
thank you all for your lovely and supportive messages!

She's beautiful and has the look of an old bisque doll. The opposite colors of blue and orange are very pretty. I enjoyed seeing the tiny icebergs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea! She is beautiful and I love her wings.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful forms and colors! I see a deep connection (forms and colors and aura) between the woman and the photo of tiny icebergs.
ReplyDelete(P.S: My Google-tanslator still does not work, My son could not find out the reason why, Maybe some problems in Google, sorry....)
