Sunday Sketches

I remember when i began drawing
and painting

sketching seemed challenging
i felt i needed to know how to draw
to create a sketch

i felt that a sketch was a zen like piece of art
a skilled person
could make something interesting from a simple line
or lines

now i love sketching
i love trial and error
i do have a 'bit' more skill
and sketching freely is satisfying

  18. one of the things I love about sketching is that the more you do it the more you improve and you get to see such immediate results... it is so satisfying to go back through sketchbooks and see how your own work has developed over time... xx

  22. I still have trouble feeling the zen sometimes unless it's working well, but always have the NEED to do it.

  24. I am so impressed by you and people who manage to draw freely. Whe streches are too strict they are not so goodlooking as when the lines are a little broken. I always have a habit to draw to strict, or straight maybe is a more correct word? I've tried to improve myself.. but still I have the old habit following me.. not when painting portraits as much as just painting bodies and figures..

    I love your paintings! :)

  25. well, a lot of mistakes in my writing ;) here I go as usual.. hehe

    corrections:
The streches are too strict (straight)

    and

    when stretches are too strict..

    and

not when drawing portraits so much as just painting bodies and figures..

    sorry ;)

    Lovely day to you! :)
