it has been a wonderful time creating a face a day for the month of May
I wanted to do something with freer technique this time
meaning
no sketch
simply dip a brush in paint and see what happens
I wanted to do a fast piece, ten minutes
this took much longer
I had to dip that brush in paint over and over again
face #26

The work we do is exceptional ... the record, a challenge, delicacy in every work ...
ReplyDeleteThis face is wonderful samples today ....
The wind moves the hair and the branches of trees ... it's like a caress your face.
And I love the photo, hung on the wood, and behind the green is nature ...
Everything is beautiful ...
Tammie kisses!
Lovely 'windy day' painting Tammie, funny how quick ten minutes goes by when your'e painting! lol. Is that glitter I see in her hair?
ReplyDeletedear Remei,
ReplyDeletethank you for your ongoing support, joy and beautiful words. Yes, my yard and woods are green like a rainforest these days!
Sandra,
thank you for your lovely message. Ten minutes flies by! Not glitter, it was a dabber paint bottle and lightly dabbed left little sprinkles of paint.
Beautiful, free and flowing Tammie... and I love the feel of wind that you have created with her hair and the trees... ah yes... 10 minutes seems to pass in the blink of an eye...lol...

oh i just love the way you have her hair! and the glitter and the color! good for you for creating a face a day! I admire that!
ReplyDeleteWonderful exercise and beautiful face!
ReplyDeleteThere's something freeing about taking paint straight to the substrate … for me it felt tight and constricted the first time I did it (not all that long ago!) and yet it has yielded a whole new spectrum of trust … in my arting and in my life.
Peace.
hi Rose,
ReplyDeleteyes, the first time, actually every time is a bit of a struggle painting this way. I have learned i can continue to apply paint until i am happy with it. So I relax and am curious and enjoy the experience.
thank you all for your messages!
Oh, this is a wonderful drawing and painting Tammie! :) I like the colors and how the hair and trees are blowing! I like the dark shadow under the chin, so real! a lovely lady! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat you did, I like this one very much.
ReplyDeletemakes me want to draw and paint again
ReplyDeletethe romance an artist exclusively owns is the method on which he/she creates a piece. us viewers can only see the final work, judge depending on what we see, and applaud it or dismiss it. what is withdrawn from us however, is how the artist created it. i hope you had fun. your artwork made me smile.
ReplyDelete3 to go. :)

You don't even know how long you're painting until you time yourself. :) Time sure flies by fast. She is gorgeous! And I don't know if I thanked you for the gluten-free blog link. Yesterday was a hectic day and I can't remember half the stuff I did. :))
