who are you darling
the tilt of your head
your tender eyes
the way gentle light ignites your face
the tilt of your head
your tender eyes
the way gentle light ignites your face
so softly
I feel I know you
yet it will take years to see the facets of your shadows
and light
before your essence is revealed wholly

she is lovely. I like her eyes and her sparkling shirt.
ReplyDeletefor me, I feel a certain attachment to each piece before and after it is finished but not like you, not really. I think because we create faces that are similar to our own. I know I put in features that might reflect me even when I try not to. maybe we perfect them somehow and maybe because we spent so much time staring at the same face?
She is very beautiful :)
ReplyDeletereally beautifully rendered. You're very good with faces, which is not where my talent lies, lol. Well done.

ReplyDeletehello Sophia,
ReplyDeleteThe top was done in Tim Holtz stains and a white pen, wonderful that you like it.
Lissa, Yes, I think it has something to do with staring at each face for so long. There is a questioning of getting to understand the characters we breathe life into. I am not sure if my woman look like me, but i can feel my spirit in my pieces. Such an interesting journey.
wishing you all a lovely week!

She's gorgeous Tammie, and yes I've felt that about a painting. I wonder if it's because it's a piece of ourselves that we recognise and want to explore!
ReplyDeleteTake care.x
Wow! I gasped when I saw this picture. I feel like I know her too...who is she?
ReplyDeleteYou've caught some kind of whimsical magic here, my Friend.
Be still my heart! She is a tender beauty, Tammie! What a beautiful, fresh face and sparkling eyes. They seem to want to tell you something. And that beautiful mouth!
