When I do these paintings, I have no idea who will show up on the paper. Layers of color and design and waiting to see who lives in the shapes then bringing them to life. A bit like looking at clouds and seeing characters.
I am temped to add a caption....
I would rather hear what you see going on between these two?

I see a beautiful lady of the forest getting advice from someone who is much smaller, but much gentler, much humbler, much wiser. I LOVE IT! It is magical, and you are truly an artist!

I love considering it anew through your insight, thank you for sharing Sheri.
DeleteSo beautifully made.
ReplyDeleteI'll add my own story Tammie :)

Hilly
i love that about art, everyone gets to add their own story.
DeleteAmazing
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
DeleteThis is a wonderful way of finding adventurous stories by painting! I really often do the same! The stories existed long before, but then they are discovered. The comment of red Rose is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI see a soul walking full of questions through the forest with flowers. The lovely empathic flower-fee approaches to her and gives her consolation for her questions and pain. ..
Beautiful colors and freedom!
Wunderschöne Farben und Freiheit!
Lovely to consider this scene through you Dori. Thank you.
DeleteThat's amazing. My cousin is a poet. She says she has no idea where her poems come from but they always tell stories. So do these magical paintings of yours.
ReplyDeleteFun to hear about your cousin. Thank you for enjoying.
DeleteWhat a wonderful dream-like process for discovering a story as you develop the artwork! And such a change from the mindset of "I'm going to paint x, y, and z" and then struggle to make it happen. Here, I think you've wandered into a magical encounter between wood fairy and goddess, both of them blessed by their unexpected meeting.
ReplyDeleteI think immersing in art in this manner, the unknown of what will be, inspires dropping into a quiet place of sensing, wondering and honoring instincts/intuition. It might be a meaningful way to enter into relationship or conversation with people. Just a thought. Thank you for your thoughts, they have inspired a gentle smile, my heart agrees.
DeleteI see generosity and gratitude. I see a prayer. ❤️
ReplyDeleteThank you Rose. Lovely to sense into this for you. Perhaps interpreting art is much like pulling a card from a deck for guidance.
DeleteA tribute full of love to the flower guard woman.. wonderful what comes out of your colors always.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend , hug Elke
Thank you for sharing your lovely interpretation. It is so fun to consider yours and everyone else's.
DeleteI see a queen fairy offering a flower, perhaps a magical flower, to some higher being to maybe grant some wishes for her. I really like your use of colors and abstract shapes.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
I enjoyed your thoughts, I feel similar about what is going on. It has been fun reading and considering everyones interpretation. They are great images to start stories from. I love working with colors.
